Thatched chalets in the indigenous bush
Lentaba Lodge offers ten thatched chalets — five Classic and five Luxury — set within indigenous vegetation on the malaria-free Lalibela Wildlife Reserve. Each chalet is positioned for privacy, comfort and a strong connection to the surrounding bush. Lalibela is known for some of the highest concentrations of free-roaming lions in South Africa, with all Big 5 resident on the reserve.
Lentaba welcomes teens aged 12 and older. Families with younger children should look at Mark’s Camp (children 0-11 welcome) or Mills Manor (exclusive-use, all ages) on the same reserve.

What's included in the rate at Lentaba Lodge?
Luxury accommodation in a Classic or Luxury thatched chalet, all meals (three daily), selected house beverages (teas, coffees and local drinks — premium wines and spirits are excluded), two open-vehicle game drives per night of stay, and soft walking safaris. A Conservation Levy is charged per person per night and is payable separately.
Are children welcome at Lentaba Lodge?
Teens aged 12 and older are welcome (teens 12-18 are charged at the full adult rate). Children aged 0 to 11 are not accepted at Lentaba. Families with younger children should look at Mark's Camp (children 0-11 welcome at 50%) or Mills Manor (exclusive-use villa, all ages welcome) on the same Lalibela reserve.
How is Lentaba different from the other Lalibela lodges?
Lentaba sits in the indigenous bush — ten thatched chalets split between Classic and Luxury types. It's the larger family-style option for stays with teens. Kichaka is Lalibela's adults-only 5-star flagship; Mark's Camp accepts younger children; Mills Manor is exclusive-use; Inzolo is the small-suite hideaway by enquiry only.
