Mark’s Camp is the family-friendly option on the Lalibela Wildlife Reserve. Secluded thatched Classic Rooms accommodate up to three guests each — ideal for two adults plus a child — with privacy and a strong connection to the surrounding indigenous vegetation. Children aged 0 to 11 are charged at 50% of the adult rate, and teens 12-18 at the full adult rate.
Lalibela is malaria-free Big 5 country, around an hour from Port Elizabeth airport, with one of the highest free-roaming lion concentrations in South Africa. Two open-vehicle game drives are included per night of stay.

What's included in the rate at Mark's Camp?
Luxury accommodation, all meals (three daily), selected house beverages (teas, coffees and local drinks — premium wines and spirits are excluded), two open-vehicle game drives per night of stay, and soft walking safaris. A Conservation Levy is charged per person per night and is payable separately.
Are children welcome at Mark's Camp?
Yes — Mark's Camp is the family-friendly option on Lalibela. Children aged 0 to 11 are charged at 50% of the adult rate; teens 12 to 18 are charged at the full adult rate. The Classic Room sleeps up to 3 (typically 2 adults + 1 child). A 2-adult + 2-child Family Room exists in the lodge inventory but is currently bookable by enquiry only — contact us to confirm.
How is Mark's Camp different from the other Lalibela lodges?
Mark's Camp is the only Lalibela lodge that welcomes children of all ages (0-11 at half rate, 12-18 full). Lentaba accepts teens 12+ only; Kichaka is adults-only; Mills Manor is exclusive-use (good for families if you book the whole villa); Inzolo is by enquiry only.
