What's included in the rate at Woodbury Tented Camp?
Your rate includes accommodation in a raised canvas tent, all meals (breakfast, lunch, high tea, dinner), twice-daily Big 5 game drives, coffee, tea and soft drinks, sundowner stops in the bush, and your stay in the malaria-free Amakhala Game Reserve. Drinks beyond soft drinks and bush dinners are charged separately.
Are children welcome at Woodbury Tented Camp?
Children 6 years and older are welcome. There is one family tent that sleeps up to 4 (one adult-config + children); children 6 to 11 are charged at 50% of the adult rate and teens 12 to 18 at the full adult rate. The nine other safari tents are king or twin configuration sleeping two adults. Families travelling with younger children should consider Woodbury Lodge or other Amakhala sister lodges.
How do I get to Woodbury Tented Camp?
The camp is approximately 72 km (45 min drive) from Chief Dawid Stuurman International Airport in Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha). Self-drive is straightforward and the camp will share directions on confirmation. Airport transfers can be arranged through African Safari Group on request.

Woodbury Tented Camp is the more intimate sibling of Woodbury Lodge — eight canvas tents on raised wooden decks set in a quiet bend of the Bushman's River, adults-focused, and lighter on its footprint. Woodbury Lodge is the larger family-friendly stone-and-thatch lodge above the valley. Same reserve, same game viewing, different atmosphere.
What activities are included?
Twice-daily Big 5 game drives are included (sunrise and sunset). Sundowner stops in the bush and stargazing from the deck come with the stay. Guided bush walks and bush dinners are bookable on request.
